Introducing living things. book

They do not have senses. Nonliving things do not eat, breathe, grow, move and reproduce. A swing set does not use food. Follow me on Instagram here. I have lots of videos planned for this 2 week study! Recommended with reservations. Living things eat, breathe, grow, move, reproduce and have senses.

Make a sort mat labeled Living and Nonliving. Have the class observe the rock and the goldfish throughout the day drawing pictures of what they are observing. Have students list the three types of living things: animals, plants, and people. There are examples of how plants reproduce - from seeds, bulbs, tubers and runners.

Have them write a statement about what makes one or both living or nonliving. Rock and goldfish Remind students that when they compare, they tell how things are alike and different.

Stop back on that day for more details! Set up and display a goldfish habitat in a fishbowl. Allow the groups to explore and fill their bags. There is no enrollment.
